[Guide] Considering buying ESO, just have a few questions!

I've played only one other MMORPG, and you guessed it, and it was WoW. There are a few aspects in WoW that I pretty much hate/dislike and that is why I have a few question regarding ESO.

First off, how committed must I be to get top gear? Must I spend hours getting into a guild and/or invest hours trying to beat hard content?

Secondly, as someone who love ES, RPG and story, will I enjoy exploring the world of ESO and is there a possiblity to create a character that play a certain way I want to with, i.e, vampirism without feeling weak ingame and/or not be able to get through some content? (How flexable is character creation?)

Lastly, is there an aspect in ESO that is frustrating and is vital for progression ingame? (If the process is worth it, please mention that!)

I have looked around for some answer and most posts are a few years old. So could use some fresh information considering how much the game have changed.

Elder Scrolls Online – Polearms, any interest in the community?


Polearms, any interest in the community?

Polearms / Spears, is there any interest in the community to add polearms / spears to the weapons list in game? I know they haven't been part of other ES games but they could add another way to diversify or customize your character further with out a lot of game change. If anyone has ever played Age of Conan you know how fun Polearm Guardians could be.

Some possible ways to implement them.

-Polearms / Spears could use the Two Hand weapon skill tree. This would only require animation changes instead of adding an entire new weapons tree.

-Polearms / Spears could have possible passive bonuses such as extended melee range to other two handed weapons (increases melee range by X meters), or possibly a bonus to stagger chance (increases your chance by X% to knock your target off balance with heavy attacks).

If anyone has any other ideas please add them below and if there is enough interest maybe we can get the information to developers here or on the official forums.
